The government had constituted a five-member committee for UCC on 27 May 2022. Now the government will approve it in the cabinet meeting to be held tomorrow.<br \/>\n<strong>*After the implementation of Uniform Civil Code (UCC), polygamy will be banned and polygamy will be completely banned.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*The legal age of marriage for girls can be fixed at 21 years.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*It will be mandatory for people living in live-in relationships to provide their information and people living in such relationships will have to provide information to their parents.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Police registration will be necessary for those in live-in relationships.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Compulsory registration may be required after marriage.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Every marriage will be registered in the respective village or town and without registration the marriage will be considered invalid.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>If marriage is not registered, you may be deprived of any government facility.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*If marriage is not registered, you may be deprived of any government facility.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Muslim women will also have the right to adopt and the process of adoption will be simple.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Girls will also get equal inheritance rights as boys.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Practices like Iddat may be banned within the Muslim community.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Both husband and wife will have equal access to divorce procedures.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*In case of death of the working son, the responsibility of maintaining the elderly parents will be on the wife and she will get compensation.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*In the event of the death of the husband, if the wife remarries, the compensation received will be shared with her parents.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*If the wife dies and her parents do not get any support, the responsibility of taking care of them will be on the husband.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*The process of guardianship for orphan children will be simplified.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*In cases of dispute between husband and wife, the custody of children can be given to their grandparents.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*Provisions may be introduced for population control, including setting limits on the number of children.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>*The entire draft may focus on women-centric provisions.
