The police action was taken following directives from SSP Haridwar, emphasizing strict enforcement against public drinking and unruly behavior.<br \/>\nAccording to police officials, during the drive, several young men were found consuming alcohol openly at public places and dhabas, creating public nuisance. Acting swiftly, the SIDCUL police detained 35 persons and registered cases against them under Section 81 of the Police Act, imposing a compounding fine of \u20b98,750 in total.<br \/>\nAdditionally, five vehicles were seized during the checking operation for violations related to the act.
