Taking the matter seriously, the Haridwar Police registered a case against the accused, seized and sealed the pistol, and initiated proceedings for cancellation of the arms license.<br \/>\nAccording to information, on May 11, 2026, during a Walima function organized at Prince Hotel in Bhagwanpur, Nadeem, son of Haji Momeen and a resident of Shahpur, allegedly fired shots in the air using his licensed pistol. After receiving information from people present at the ceremony, Chetak Police reached the spot and began an investigation.<br \/>\nDuring the investigation, police examined video footage in which the accused was clearly seen firing in a public place. It was also confirmed that the pistol used in the firing was a licensed weapon registered in the name of the accused. Police stated that such firing in a public place is a clear violation of the law.<br \/>\nBhagwanpur Police have registered a case against the accused and seized and sealed the licensed pistol. Proceedings for cancellation of the arms license and other legal action have also been initiated.<br \/>\nPolice officials clearly stated that licensed weapons are meant for self-defense, not for showmanship and display of power.
