{"id":4472,"date":"2026-08-30T10:28:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T10:28:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepolicetoday.com\/?p=4472"},"modified":"2026-08-30T10:28:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T10:28:14","slug":"property-dispute-elderly-man-approaches-ssp-alleges-harassment-and-death-threats-by-son-daughter-in-law-and-three-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepolicetoday.com\/?p=4472","title":{"rendered":"Property Dispute: Elderly Man Approaches SSP, Alleges Harassment and Death Threats by Son, Daughter-in-Law and Three Others"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NEWS \/ <span style=\"color: #00ffff;\">THE POLICE TODAY\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>Haridwar<\/strong><\/span>: A 56-year-old resident of Suryanagar Colony in Roshanabad has approached the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Haridwar, alleging assault, harassment, pressure to transfer his property in the name of his daughter-in-law, and death threats by his son, daughter-in-law and three other persons.<br \/>\nThe complainant, identified as Rakesh, son of Purush, stated that he is originally from Chhannonk village under Nagina Soti police station in Bijnor district and is currently residing in Suryanagar Colony, Roshanabad. According to him, he has been involved in a dispute with his son Suraj Pal and daughter-in-law Neetu Pal for nearly two years.<br \/>\nRakesh alleged that during this period, he was repeatedly subjected to abusive behaviour and was also assaulted at his residence.<br \/>\nIn his complaint, he further alleged that his daughter-in-law had previously submitted complaints related to dowry to the police. He claimed that during the investigation, the allegations were found to be false. Despite this, he alleged that the dispute and harassment against him continued.<br \/>\nAccording to the complainant, when he objected to the alleged harassment, Narendra Pal, his son&#8217;s father-in-law, along with some other persons, allegedly assaulted him. He further alleged that pressure was put on him to transfer his property in the name of his daughter-in-law, Neetu Pal.<br \/>\nRakesh said he had also submitted an application regarding the matter at the Roshanabad Court Police Outpost.<br \/>\nThe complainant claimed that he had also been attacked several times around six to seven months ago. Following his complaint, police reportedly tried to resolve the matter by counselling both sides. However, according to Rakesh, threats allegedly continued even afterwards.<br \/>\nRakesh has now alleged that he has been receiving continuous death threats for about a week.
