₹35 Lakh Truck Stolen from Mining Check Post Recovered Within 48 Hours | Two Arrested Haridwar,

Uttarakhand: Haridwar Shyampur Police have successfully recovered a 12-wheeler truck worth approximately ₹35 lakh within 48 hours of the theft case being registered and arrested two accused in connection with the incident. The truck was reportedly stolen from a mining check post in the Shyampur Police Station area on August 24. During the investigation, police arrested Shehzad Parvez (38) and Habib Khan (55), both residents of Najibabad, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. According to police, the accused allegedly revealed that the stolen truck had been hidden in the bushes near a Gujjar settlement in the Gaindikhata area. Acting on their information, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Gagan Maithani recovered the vehicle. The accused had allegedly removed the truck’s number plate to conceal its identity. Police verified the vehicle through its chassis and engine numbers, confirming it was the truck reported stolen. The recovery proceedings were also videographed through the e-Sakshya application in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
