Haridwar:Some sudden death due to excessive drinking in Pathri area is indeed a sensitive and compassionate incident. In the midst of continuous action being taken by the police against illegal liquor manufacturers/distributors, this incident playing with human life and the people associated with this incident undoubtedly seem to be enemies of human sensibilities. Haridwar police engaged in search of these criminals arrested the accused Vijendra resident of Phulgarh Pathri on 10-09-2022. On the innocence of the accused, 4 empty bottles of cold drink related to the trial, from which raw liquor was given to the villagers.

On the suspicion of the arrested accused Naresh, furnace equipment and about 35 liters of illicit raw liquor were recovered from the cellar. Continuous raids are being conducted in search of other accused.
Along with the action being taken in this development, it is also noteworthy that in view of the drug-free Devbhoomi campaign being run at the state level and the upcoming Panchayati elections, since the beginning of this month till now, a total of 528 liters of country liquor, 2291 liters of English While recovering liquor and 526 liters of raw liquor, 82 accused were arrested.
