Taking joint action, SOG and Kotwali Pithoragarh police team arrested 01 female accused with 1.890 kg charas.

Uttarakhand/Pithoragarh: Scorpio vehicle coming from Pithoragarh side was stopped and checked by a joint team of S.O.G. and Kotwali Pithoragarh police near the outpost Ancholi, during which a woman got out of the vehicle and fast towards the ghat by hanging the bag on her back. She started running, on which the police team stopped the woman and asked her name and address asking the reason for running away, then she told her name Belmati wife Sohan Singh, resident- village Banlig police station Dharchula district Pithoragarh age- 36 years.
When the bag of the said woman was searched by the police team, charas was recovered from inside her bag. On weighing the said recovered charas in electronic scales, its weight was found to be 1.890 kg. On questioning the woman, she told that I had brought the said charas from Kalika, Dharchula and was going to sell it in Bareilly. The police team arrested the said woman accused and registered a case against her under section 8/20 NDPS Act at Kotwali Pithoragarh. Advance legal action is being taken.
