Uttarakhand/Dehradun : Uttarakhand Police Brainstorming-Solutions and Challenges Under Police Week, a ‘Public Interaction’ program was organized with the general public of Dehradun on 22 december in the afternoon at the Police Line Dehradun, under the dialogue between the public and the police. Mayor Dehradun Mr. Sunil Uniyal Gama was present in the program as the chief guest. All the problems and suggestions were heard in the ‘Public Interaction’ program by Mr. Ashok Kumar IPS, DGP and the concerned officers were directed to resolve them.
The DGP said in his address that public opinion will be taken in this churning that what are the expectations of the public from the police and what are their solutions. What changes are needed in policing. The public should also give respect to the police personnel who do good work, so that their morale will increase. All district in-charges have to understand that we are doing policing for the public. Uttarakhand Police Mitra Police is only for the general public.
Miscreants and criminals should have fear of police. Communicate continuously with the public, so that we can do better. Information about laws related to traffic and women’s safety should also be made available to the public.
