Haridwar:SSP Haridwar Mr. Ajai Singh duly took charge of SSP GRP after reaching GRP office today on 09-01-2023 in sequence of the order of Police Headquarters.
As soon as he took charge, Mr. Ajai Singh directed all the station in-charges of GRP to keep a more vigilant eye on various Jahar Khurani gangs operating at railway stations, with full vigilance in view of the current cold wave and fog
Instructed to increase regular patrolling in their respective areas and to send the guard sent for the security of the trains after briefing them thoroughly with weapons.
Also instructed to follow suspicious and nomadic people at the railway station, monitor their every work and take verification action.
During this, Mr. Ajai Singh instructed the concerned in-charge to make arrangements for lighting bonfires at identified places of railway stations, keeping better coordination with the officers of RPF police force, so that passengers do not face inconvenience due to cold weather/cold wave. In view of the high danger of chain snatching and pickpockets at the congested places of the railway station, instructions have been given to appoint GRP policemen in plain clothes at those places and to install cameras immediately in coordination with the railway administration at the places where cameras have not been installed. Along with organizing a meeting with the officers present in the office, directed that no work of public interest should be pending at the office level, in which case any problem arises, it should be immediately brought to my notice, which will be resolved in time.
