Haridwar/Roorkee:Had the fire service units not taken timely action, a huge accident and loss could have occurred. Fire Station Roorkee received information that there is a fire in the plywood factory in Raipur Industries police station area Bhagwanpur. As soon as the information was received, Fire Unit Bhagwanpur first reached the spot. Seeing the intensity of the fire, a unit from Fire Station Roorkee also reached the spot.
After reaching the spot, both the units spread the hose pipe and pumped hard and with hard work and tireless efforts, the fire was completely extinguished by spraying water from both sides and other machines and plywood goods of the company were saved from burning.
Due to the immediate and alert action of the fire units, a huge damage was avoided. The press machine, thermic oil, wiring etc. of the said company and other items got burnt due to the fire.
There has been no other loss of life. The company management has stated that there is a loss of lakhs due to the fire. The cause of the fire and the details and assessment of the damage are being ascertained. Necessary instructions and guidelines were given to the company management by the Fire Officer in-charge, Roorkee Bhagwanpur. After the fire fighting operation, the control room Roorkee and higher officials have also been informed about the incident
