Haridwar: Despite the dense fog and severe cold at the holy ghats of Mother Ganga, the bathers are taking a dip and leaving for their respective destinations with the cheers of Mother Ganga, earning virtuous benefits. Police officers performed Ganga Aarti and prayed. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, on Har Ki Pauri.

“Prayer for all round happiness and prosperity”

At the evening of Makar Sankranti, a Deepotsav program was organized under Har Ki Paidi area by the police and administration officers and employees present for duty.

In the program organized, about 700 people of Haridwar Police and Government Administration along with the people of Ganga Sabha and the general public present nearby lit the lamp and prayed for happiness, prosperity, development and activation of dormant energy in the country.

Haridwar Police is making arrangements to help the bathers as much as possible. The traffic system was smooth. Peoples was  cooperating with Haridwar Police in maintaining order.
