Haridwar: Road Safety Month formally inaugurated by DM & SSP.

In the said rally, along with Haridwar Police, various organizations in Haridwar district including NHAI, Transport Department participated in the joint rally.

Road Safety Month will be celebrated all over India from 15 January to 14 February.

All over India every year from 15/01/24 to 14/02/24
On the occasion of the inauguration of Road Safety Month, in the presence of District Magistrate Mr. Dhiraj Singh Garbyal and SSP Pramendra Dobal, police officers/employees, other organizations and the general public took an oath to follow traffic rules.

Under the Road Safety Month, as per the instructions of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, road safety activities, road safety training, workshops, seminars and programs related to road safety will be organized in the 34th Road Safety Month 2024. Under which traffic public awareness through social media,
By spreading graphics, video messages etc., organizing seminars with unions of truck bus taxi drivers etc., public awareness programs and information about first aid will be given for the safety of persons injured in road accidents.

In the 34th Road Safety Month, the oath taken by the officers and common people present along with DM Dhiraj Singh Garbyal and SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal to follow the traffic rules.
Road safety related programs will run for the next one month.

After that, DM & SSP flagged off the motorcycle and car rally to create public awareness about road safety in various areas of the district like Ranipur Mod, Shankar Ashram Tiraha, Singh Dwar Chowk, Prem Nagar Ashram Chowk, Shankaracharya Chowk, Chandi Chowk, Balmiki Chowk, Shiv Murti. Chowk, Devpura Chowk, Rishikul and left for Nehru Yuva Kendra via Ranipur turn.
On the said occasion, SP City Swatantra Kumar, SP Crime Pankaj Gairola, ASP/CO Sadar Jitendra Mehra, CO Jwalapur Shantanu Parashar, CO Traffic Swapnil Muyal, CO Laksar Niharika Semwal, CO Rakesh Rawat, TI Haridwar Vikas Pundir, TI Roorkee Akhilesh Kumar, CPU Incharge Hitesh Sharma and administration officials were present.
