Haridwar/Laksar: A few days ago, a heart-wrenching incident of gang rape of a minor took place in Kotwali Laksar, which shocked everyone in the state including the district. On this incident that shocked everyone, the highly experienced SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal directed SP Dehat Swapan Kishore Singh and CO Laksar Niharika Semwal to “bring out the truth”, and himself kept a close watch on the entire matter.
What was the matter?
On 18.02.2024, Farukh, a resident of Roorkee, Kanhapur, had given a written complaint of gang rape of his minor niece by eight persons at Kotwali Laksar. On which Kotwali Laksar POCSO Act registered. On the instructions of SSP, special teams were formed to bring out the truth of the case. All these teams were well connected among themselves and were sharing every small and big thing among themselves. In this very sensitive case, following the rules and other legal procedures, the victim’s medical examination and statement was recorded in the court under Section 164. After the statements, the events took a new surprising turn. In which, even in a case that brings shame to humanity like rape, the hunger to earn money and a deep conspiracy to send one’s enemies/innocents to jail came to light.
This was the reality-
The girl lived with her maternal uncle Naseem alias Kallu, while the girl’s mother, who was not completely mentally healthy, lived somewhere near the railway station. When a distant relative, Naseem, who knew that there was no one behind it, physically abused the girl along with his associates Abdul Rehman, Munish etc. for a few months, the girl ran away from there and met her mother in the railway station. came to Since the girl was still young and her mother did not know anything about the intricacies of law etc., the accused parties were also sure that they would not be able to do any harm to us. After some time, when Farooq came to know about this, he took the girl completely into his confidence and brought her with him on the pretext of giving severe punishment to the opposition. The girl also started calling Farrukh as uncle and in the hope of help, the girl along with her mother came to her “uncle Farrukh”. After getting complete information, the alleged uncle Farooq, seeing the opportunity, chased away the mad woman (mother) from there and along with his associates Gulshad, Ahsaan and Nafees thought of taking advantage of the opportunity. Uncle Farooq and his associates Gulshad etc., in order to implicate the opposition in their old village case “out of enmity”, asked the girl to tell the people with the names given by us to the police and later to the court. As part of the conspiracy, the victim was prepared to give a statement and with full preparation, a case of rape was registered against eight people named Naseem alias Kallu, Abdul Rehman, Munish, Farman, Arshad, Islam, Sajid and Ahsan in the police station. By naming some innocent people of the village including the accused in the case, a grand scheme was woven to extort huge amount in the name of settlement, which was foiled by the intelligence of the police teams formed under the strong leadership of the Captain and the officers supervising them. After all these things were revealed in the statements of the victim under 164 CrPC, the police teams formed after taking the victim into confidence, took swift action and arrested the rape accused Naseem alias Kallu, Abdul Rehman and Munish from Jainpur Khurd and also for the greed of earning money from the unfortunate incident. Conspirator mouthed Chacha Farooq (plaintiff in the case), Gulshad and Ahsan were detained from village Jainpur, the search for one of their accomplices is going on. All of them are being sent to jail. Since the matter is very sensitive and the investigation is still going on, who else will be arrested among the 8 named will be decided only on the basis of clear facts/evidence. Why is it so easy for lustful priests to commit such crimes? And now what will be the future of this child ?
