Haridwar police continues major action against drug mafia, arrested one accused with 500 drug injections, case registered under NDPS Act, other legal action continues

ROORKEE KALIYAR / Senior Superintendent of Police Haridwar directed Piran Kaliyar police station to make the district drug free and take strict action against drug injection smugglers like illegal liquor, smack, hashish, ganja etc. In compliance with which informers were activated behind the drug dealers in Piran Kaliyar police station area to make the Drugs Free Devbhoomi campaign successful. On April 24, an accused Mohammad Hamid son of Mohammad Ikram resident of 313 street number 5 Mahmoodpur near Madina Chowk Civil Line Muzaffarnagar Uttar Pradesh was arrested from the canal track near Mewadpul. 500 injections were recovered from his possession. Drug Inspector was also called on the spot, who confirmed the said drug injections.

Accused Hamid was arrested. Against whom a case has been registered under NDPS Act at Piran Kaliyar police station and legal action is being taken as per rules. Information about criminal history is being collected.
