Preparations Complete in Haridwar… Travel Area Divided into Two Super Zones, Six Zones, and 13 Sectors; SP City Appointed as Nodal Officer

HARIDWAR / All preparations by the police for the Char Dham Yatra have been completed. The entire travel area has been divided into two super zones, six zones, and 13 sectors. The SSP held a public interaction with police personnel deployed for the Char Dham Yatra duty, seeking their suggestions and giving necessary instructions. SP City has been appointed as the nodal officer.
On Monday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramendra Singh Dobal held a public interaction with the police personnel at the multipurpose hall in Roshanabad Police Lines. He sought suggestions regarding yatra management and discussed various issues. He informed that the travel area has been divided into 2 super zones, 6 zones, and 13 sectors.
SP City Pankaj Gairola has been appointed as the nodal officer for Char Dham Yatra in the district. The SSP stated that police vehicles on night duty will not be allowed to park unnecessarily on the roadside. All police personnel must behave courteously with the pilgrims. When asked for information, pilgrims should be responded to politely. Each Super Zonal/Zonal/Sector in-charge will continue briefing the police force under their jurisdiction.
For the convenience of Char Dham pilgrims, a registration center has been set up at Rishikul Ground. In view of the yatra, Bats Island and Bairagi Camp have been designated as holding areas in case of traffic diversions. The Narsan border has been marked as a screening point.
The SSP informed that the deployment for yatra duty includes:
2 Additional SPs6, COs,Inspectors, SHOs,11 Senior Sub-Inspectors (SSI),25 Sub-Inspectors (SI),90 Head Constables/Constables,7 Female Constables,,1 Traffic Inspector,4 SIs and ASIs,10 Head Constables and Constables,69 Home Guards,12 members of the BDS/Dog Squad team,4 Fire Service Units,7 Water Police teams,1 Company of PAC
This entire police force has been deployed for Char Dham Yatra duty.
