I.P.S officer booked for murder in fake encounter case

An encounter has turned into a sore throat for Ankit Mittal, the former Superintendent of Police of Chitrakoot On 31 March 2021, Bhalchandra Yadav, a member of the prize dacoit Gauri Yadav gang, was killed by the police in an encounter in the district. His wife had taken refuge in the court alleging fake encounter. After which, on the order of the court, a case has been registered against 15 people including former SP Ankit Mittal and STF police personnel on charges of murder.
District court advocate Rajendra Yadav told that Nathuniya, a resident of Padvaniya village in Naya Gaon area of ​​Satna district, has filed a case in the court. Nathuniya is the wife of Bhalchandra Yadav. He had given the application in the court of Additional Sessions Judge (Special Judge DD Act). It is told in the application that on 31 March 2021, Bhalchandra went to the Satna court with his brother Lalchandra to appear in the court.
A STF jawan took Bhalchandra towards Chitrakoot. On the same day, at around seven o’clock in the evening, information was received that there was an encounter with the Gauri gang on the instructions of Ankit Mittal, the then Superintendent of Police of Chitrakoot. In which UP STF, SWAT team of district Chitrakoot, Bahilpurwa and Markundi police station have killed Bhalchandra Yadav. There were marks of brutal beating on the body of Bhalchandra. Also, the bullet was fired on the bare body, as there were no bullet marks on his shirt.
On this application, Additional Sessions Judge Vineet Narayan Pandey ordered the Bahilpurwa station in-charge to file a report and investigate. Now a case has been registered in Bahilpurwa police station. At the same time, advocate Rajendra Yadav says that despite the order of the court, this FIR has been registered after 10 months. As such, they are not expected to have a correct interpretation. Therefore, he will demand from the administration to conduct an inquiry by some other officer.
