Haridwar: According to Article 21-A, every child has the right to education. But the families suffering from poverty are unable to send their children to school. You will see many such children begging for alms at railway stations, bus stands, markets, and at Har Ki Paidi on the banks of the Ganga. The government gave government facilities and schools. But it is the parents who have to bear the responsibility of leaving the school. But due to poverty and illiteracy, due to lack of awareness, they push the future of the children into darkness.
Haridwar Police has taken such a responsibility on its shoulders and has once again set an example of humanity.
These children are the future of tomorrow.
By giving a little direction with a little support, their tomorrow can go from oval to light. In the above sequence, the “Operation Mukti” campaign being run by the Uttarakhand Police was appreciated/praised by the local people and social workers and travelers/devotees.
“Operation Mukti” campaign continues in the district Support to educate a child by DGP Uttarakhand. to free the children engaged in begging across the state and move towards education and take action as per rules for their rehabilitation, do not beg, give education, and on the theme of Support to educate a child in all the districts of the state. The campaign of the month is underway.
In order to make the team formed to make “Operation Mukti” campaign successful, DIG/SSP Haridwar sir ordered to take effective action and to make the family and general public more and more aware to free the children from begging and to motivate them for education.
In the order in which the teams formed in Operation Mukti under the guidance of CO Ops Niharika Semwal as the nodal officer for the success of the said campaign in Haridwar district, during the first phase from 01.08.22 to 05.08.22. Harki Padi/Ganga Ghato, Laljiwala, Rodivelwala, Bhimgouda, Rishikul Bus Stand, Jatwada Bridge, Jwalapur, Sidkul area in Haridwar, begging for unclaimed and nomadic boys/girls or asking for money by applying tilak on the Ganga Ghats, picking up junk, selling balloons.
In relation to etc., after searching by the teams at different places of the district Haridwar, till now a total of 187 boys/girls were verified and marked in the campaign. In which some children were begging with their families,
Those who were made aware by the team about giving education, not begging under Operation Mukti by counseling with the family members of the child and meeting the families of other boys/girls and handing over the boys and girls after counseling to the families and not give education.
