Haridwar: Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand Government’s campaign “DRUGS FREE DEVBHOOMI BY 2025” on 26-08- 2022 under the chairmanship of ADG (L/O) Shri V. Murugesan, C.C.R. A meeting of police officers of district Haridwar was organized in the building.
During the meeting, Mr. ADG (L/O) while giving information about the campaign to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand free from drugs by 2025, urged all the police officers to conduct a special and comprehensive campaign against drugs in their respective areas in the coming days. Encouraged to take cooperation by making public representatives/schools and NGOs aware. They warned the people present that intoxication is rapidly taking hold of the younger generation, their house is burning, if drugs are not strictly controlled in time, then the next burning house will be your own.
During the meeting, all the police officers present by P.O Shri Arun Kaur were shared with the present law regarding prevention of drug addiction, decisions of the Supreme Court, special attention-grabbing information etc. so that the accused can be given the harshest punishment.
ADG (L/O)  said that all the in-charge, litigants and investigators should ensure that the legal proceedings are followed strictly as per rules and regulations before taking action. Be careful not to take advantage of the incomplete proceedings. This can be controlled only with full passion and dedication and a good understanding of the law.
On the said occasion, DIG Garhwal Zone Shri Karan Singh Naganyal, DIG/SSP Haridwar Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat and all SP/CO’s, SHO’s/SO’s and SI/Disciplinarians of the district were present.
