Lakhs of jewelery theft case, Khanpur police disclosed within 24 hours

Haridwar: This story is from Chandpuri Bangar village of Khanpur, where a boy named Ankush was studying goldsmith work living with his maternal uncle’s boy in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Seeing the brilliance of gold and silver, Ankush made a ruckus with his own brother. The accused, who came to Haridwar from Saharanpur to sell retail jewellery, made his brother stay at his aunt’s house on being late and at night, the brother went missing jewelery worth lakhs as soon as he fell asleep. The plan was fine but this drama created by accused Ankush did not last long. The pair of Govardhanpur outpost in-charge, SI Naveen Chauhan and SI Vikas Rawat, with the help of the subordinate, disclosed the whole story within 24 hours and succeeded in arresting the accused Ankush with the stolen jewellery.
