Haridwar/Roorkee: Devbhoomi Cyber Hackathon-2022 organized by UttarakhandPolice and IIT Roorkee concluded yesterday. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Roorkee, ITDA and STF to promote capacity building and knowledge exchange in cyber security. Arvind Hariharan and Gautam Devbhoomi from Break Point team from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu emerged as the winners of Cyber Hackathon-2022.
On this occasion, Shri Ashok Kumar IPS, DGP Sir said that the initiative of Smart Police in Uttarakhand will help in reducing cyber crime. Cyber security has become a big issue with the increasing dependence on technology. IIT Roorkee partnered with Uttarakhand Police to organize the Hackathon, so that any potential threat can be identified and acted upon in time. Apart from this, IIT and ITDA will also work on the creation of indigenous software tools under the ‘Make in India’ initiative of the Government of India with mutual cooperation in cyber security.
