Haridwar/Dehradun:Five youths who had come for a picnic in Kesarwala under Maldevta area of district Dehradun got stuck on an island built in the middle of the river due to the rise in water level, from where it could prove dangerous to try to come out on their own. SDRF rescue team reached the spot on the information of the said incident.
Showing their efficiency and courage by the rescue team, the rope was tied across the river and life jackets were also delivered to the youth. After that, despite the strong current of the river, five youths were safely taken out on the banks.
