Uttrakhand/Paudi:  In  Ankita Bhandari murder case, the byte given by DIG. Ku. P. Renuka Devi ji, in-charge of the SIT constituted on the instructions of the Chief Minister, in relation to the spot inspection and evidences, to get the harshest punishment for the culprits.
On 24 September 2022, the body of the victim Ankita Bhandari was recovered by the SDRF team from near the barrage of Chila Power House Haridwar after five days. The body has been identified by the relatives. Advance proceedings are in vogue. Ankita Bhandari’s body was sent to Srinagar Medical College for post mortem where people were seen jammed for kilometer. It was difficult for the police administration to handle the situation. Ankita Bhandari’s body was being brought for the funeral procession when a huge crowd of people appeared in anger in Srinagar
The administration is constantly appealing to the people for cooperation and restraint. But the situation did not seem to be under control.
The death of the killers and compensation to the family are being demanded by the public for the victim’s family.
