Haridwar: During the last phase of counting of votes of three-tier panchayat elections in Haridwar, two different candidates under Mangalore and Bahadarabad regions were unhappy with the election results after the R.O (Returning Officer) rejected the demand for re-counting, along with their supporters at the counting site. First there was a fierce ruckus and when the police stopped them from doing so, heavy stones were pelted on the policemen, due to which 04 police officers and employees in Mangalore and 02 in Bahadarabad have been injured and seriously injured.

District Police Captain Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat immediately visited the spot and assured of proper action against the accused.
