“SI Jahangir Ali honored with Home Ministry Meritorious Service Medal.”

Haridwar: At present, SI Jahangir Ali, who is handling the responsibility of CIU Roorkee in-charge, has been appointed at a high level in a very complicated case related to blind Sarojini Devi robbery and murder in the remote village of Liswalta located in the revenue area Jakholi during the year 2017-18 in Rudraprayag district. Awarded the prestigious Home Ministry’s Meritorious Service Medal for bringing the murder accused to the gallows by scientifically deliberating.
The investigation of this case, which was discussed in Rudraprayag at that time, was done by Si Jahangir Ali, today everyone in the district including Roorkee is appreciating him.
When this heinous case was registered in the revenue area Jakholi and handed over to the regular police and the Rudraprayag remained a challenge for the police due to the vicious manner of the accused giving an end to the incident and even after several days, the police did not get any concrete clues,
Then among many police officers engaged in opening this case, Jehangir Ali along with the police team, with his skill and intelligence, explained this case so beautifully that even though there was no eyewitness to the incident by the Hon’ble Court. On the basis of the irrefutable technical evidence collected by Jahangir, the two accused were sentenced to death, which is a special thing in itself.
During the program organized by DGP Uttarakhand Shri Ashok Kumar at the Police Headquarters on the occasion of National Unity Day, SI Jehangir Ali was decorated with the prestigious Home Ministry Medal and awarded a citation and also patted Jahangir on the back for his accurate analysis of the complex case.
