Uttarakhand Police is friendly police for civilized people, but for criminals and mafia we will be ‘Kaal Police’. Criminals sitting in jail, coming from outside or sitting in the state should no longer dare to commit crimes in Uttarakhand.

It is believed from his attitude that strict action is going to be taken again against criminals and mafia in Uttarakhand. Abhinav Kumar said that we may have the image of friendly police, but we know very well how to crush the heads of criminals. Our objective is to bring to justice the criminals who create an atmosphere of fear and tension in the society along with the safety of the general public.
DGP Abhinav Kumar said that today traffic and disaster management is a big challenge before us. He said that traffic causes problems not only to the local people but also to lakhs of tourists and devotees who come to the state every year. In such a situation, our focus will be on solving this problem. Police is the first responder at the time of disaster, in such a situation we have to increase our capabilities.
Abhinav took charge of DGP
Senior IPS Abhinav Kumar took charge as DGP of Uttarakhand on Thursday evening. After the retirement of outgoing DGP Ashok Kumar, he took charge at the police headquarters as acting DGP.
After assuming charge, Abhinav Kumar said that providing justice to the victims and strengthening law and order is his first priority. He also gave a big relief to the Doon police when the robbery worth crores in Doon was not fully revealed till now. DGP said, giving an ultimatum of disclosure in a few days or a few hours in a major incident is not right from the point of view of policing.
Acting DGP Abhinav Kumar warned
DGP Abhinav Kumar said that cyber crime is the biggest challenge today. We have to be very strong to deal with this. For this, cyber experts will have to be prepared from the constable level itself. We also have to train soldiers to deal with cyber crimes. An action plan will be prepared for this soon. Apart from this, special efforts will also have to be made to prevent crimes against women.
