Abhinav Kumar has been made the new chief of police. A farewell ceremony was organized at the police line for DGP Ashok Kumar on completion of his three-year tenure. During this he shared his experiences.
DGP Ashok Kumar’s three-year tenure has completed. A grand farewell ceremony was organized for him at Dehradun Police Lines on Thursday. He became emotional while sharing his experience during his speech here.

When he became DGP on 30 November 2020, he faced immense challenges. The Covid period was going on at that time. He told that after this many disasters occurred. Police is made for the public. I have always reduced the distance between the police and the public.
DGP Ashok Kumar has done many types of work for the police during his three-year tenure. New DGP Abhinav Kumar said that Ashok Kumar has been Vishwakarma for the police force. They have strengthened the infrastructure.
Ashok Kumar had reached Haridwar a day before retirement. Here various social organizations honored the DGP for his excellent work in 34 years. He also interacted with the public.
After attending Ganga Aarti, participated in the program organized at CCR. Police officers honored and congratulated him. DGP Ashok Kumar was honored on behalf of CRPF Uttarakhand Sector on his retirement. During this, the DGP shared his experiences with the soldiers during his stay in CRPF.
