Ranipur Police and CIU joint teams caught a 50 thousand bounty criminal in an encounter. During checking, the accused opened fire on the police.

Ranipur Police / It is to be noted that the criminal has a long history and he was injured by a bullet in his leg during the retaliatory action of the police to catch him.
According to the information received by the police, the criminal was also involved in the incident of murderous attack on the Home Guard in Ranipur area in 2024.,Who is a popular history sheeter of Ranipur and a member of Praveen Balmiki’s gang, against whom about 19 criminal cases are registered.
A few months ago, HC Kundan Singh and HG Vikram Singh were deployed during night patrolling in Shivalik Nagar JKT cluster from Kotwali Ranipur. When both of them started questioning the unknown persons coming from Chinmai Chowk, fearing to be caught, both of them attacked the police personnel from the road, due to which the home guard was injured and also looted the mobile of the police personnel and left the stolen e-rickshaw. They fled from the spot with the scooty, after which a case was registered against the unknown thieves by both the employees.
As per the orders of Senior Superintendent of Police Haridwar, instructions were given to arrest the accused immediately. On which, accused Anshul son of Khem Singh resident of village Bhaguwala Chamaria police station- Mandavali district Bijnor UP, presently resident of Bakra Market Mohalla Kadchh Kotwali Jwalapur Haridwar, who came to light with the help of CIU by Ranipur police teams, was earlier arrested and sent to jail. And while searching for the notorious and history-sheeter criminal Sabir son of Arif resident of Ahbab Nagar Vishnulok Colony Kotwali Ranipur Haridwar, a reward of Rs 50,000/- was announced on the criminal. As per the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police, police teams were continuously raiding and searching for the said notorious criminal.
On the basis of which, Ranipur Police and CIU Haridwar teams received information that the criminal Sabir son of Arif was coming to meet his family late at night. On this, Inspector in charge Ranipur and CIU team left and laid a trap to catch the criminal. Due to which Sabir son of Arif, resident of Ahbab Nagar Vishnulok Colony Kotwali Ranipur Haridwar was seen coming on a scooter. When the police personnel asked him to stop, he started running. When they chased him, the said criminal started firing at the police personnel. On which the police teams retaliated and the criminal got injured by a bullet on his leg. The police arrested the above accused Sabir on the spot and sent him to the district hospital.
