Due to the alertness of the Haridwar Fire Unit, an LPG gas cylinder explosion was prevented. Had timely action not been taken, the cylinder could have exploded, causing severe damage and loss.

Fire Station Haridwar / This morning, based on the information received at Fire Station Roorkee, the Roorkee Fire Unit immediately reached the incident site—village Madhopur, under Gangnahar police station limits. Upon arrival, it was found that while cooking in the house, the LPG gas cylinder had caught fire due to leakage. The Roorkee Fire Unit used a high-pressure hose to completely extinguish the fire on the LPG gas cylinder and successfully prevented it from exploding.
The prompt action and response time of the Roorkee Fire Unit team averted a major disaster. The LPG gas cylinder belonged to the homeowner, Mr. Khalid, son of Mr. Akhtar, resident of Madhopur, Gangnahar police station area, who was present at the scene. Police personnel from Gangnahar police station were also present at the location. The villagers at the site openly praised the swift action and quick response time of the Fire Unit.
