15 grams of illegal smack recovered, 01 trafficker caught by Haridwar Police, success achieved through continuous checking in the area, Haridwar Police’s action against drug traffickers continues

Under the Drug-Free Devbhoomi Campaign 2025 initiated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Haridwar Police is running a special checking campaign to make the district free from drugs and to act against traffickers of illegal substances such as liquor, smack, charas, and ganja.
As part of this campaign, on 04-09-2025, during routine checking and patrolling by Shyampur Police, one accused, Nadeem (35 years old), son of Salim, resident of Mohalla Majri, PS Bahadrabad, District Haridwar, was arrested near the bridge at Chandi Ghat outpost, Chilla Road Forest Check Post. He was found in possession of 15 grams of illegal smack.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had purchased the smack from one Vakil, resident of Budhahedi, PS Pathri, District Haridwar, who is currently wanted. A separate team has been formed for his early arrest.
Haridwar Police continues to identify and take strict action against individuals involved in the illegal sale of smack, charas, ganja, and liquor in the district.
