Seven Arrested for Gambling and Betting in Haridwar, Major Action by Police, No Criminal Activity Will Be Tolerated in the Area

Haridwar. In a major breakthrough against illegal gambling and betting, Haridwar Police have achieved significant success. During night checking and routine duty to maintain law and order, the Sidcul police conducted a raid at a deserted factory building near KTC premises in Brahmpuri and caught seven individuals red-handed while gambling.
The arrested accused have been identified as:
Rajan, son of Anil Kumar, resident of Shivalik Nagar
Vijay, son of Sewaram, resident of Tilfara village (Saharanpur)
Akash, son of late Premchand, resident of Ramdham Colony (Haridwar)
Tikam, son of Yashpal, resident of Ukraoo (Saharanpur)
As Mohammad alias Ashu, son of Sattar, resident of Garh Mirpur (Haridwar)
Shubham, son of Kanwar Singh, resident of Gadarjuda (Mangalore)
Vipin, son of Laxman Singh, resident of Rawli Mehdood (Haridwar)
Among them, one accused is also reported to be a BBA student.
During the operation, the police team recovered ₹59,000 in cash along with playing cards. A case has been registered against the accused at Sidcul Police Station under relevant sections, and legal proceedings have been initiated.
Police have stated that gambling and betting will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict action will be taken against those indulging in such illegal activities.

Sub-Inspector Anil Bisht, Head Constables Sunil Saini, Vivek Yadav, Sanjay Tomar, and Constables Anil Kandari, Sunil Kumar, and Pradeep Kumar from Sidcul Police Station, District Haridwar.
