NEWS / THE POLICE TODAY
SIDCUL / In their bid to gain fame on social media, a group of youths from Haridwar modified their motorcycles and performed dangerous stunts to post videos on Instagram. Their reckless ambition to become “viral” was cut short by the swift action of the Haridwar Police.
Acting on information from local residents, the Sidcul Police discovered that youths from Ramdham, Shivalik Nagar were performing life-threatening stunts on modified motorcycles and uploading the clips online to attract followers.
During the checking drive, the police identified three individuals — Akshay Pal (30) and Nikhil (24), residents of Ramdham Colony, and Ishu (25) from Shivalik Nagar. Police seized two modified motorcycles used in the stunts and instructed the youths to delete all stunt videos from their social media accounts immediately.
Upon questioning, the trio admitted their mistake, issued a public apology, and pledged never to repeat such acts in the future.
Haridwar Police has urged the public to refrain from performing or promoting dangerous stunts. Officials emphasized that such acts not only endanger the performer’s life but also put others at serious risk.
Residents are encouraged to report similar activities to their nearest police station without delay.
