SIDCUL POLICE BUST ILLEGAL COUNTRY LIQUOR UNIT; 3,000 LITRES OF LAHAN DESTROYED, 30 LITRES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED

Haridwar: The Sidcul Police carried out a major operation against illegal liquor manufacturing and busted an illicit country liquor unit operating in village Khalatira. The police recovered 30 litres of illicit liquor, seized liquor-making equipment, and destroyed around 3,000 litres of lahan on the spot. One accused was arrested red-handed.
On 15 November 2025, the Sidcul police team was conducting routine checking in the area. During this operation, they received information about illegal liquor production in village Khalatira. Acting promptly, the police raided the location and recovered the liquor-making setup and illicit liquor. The accused, Kuldeep, son of Dharmpal, resident of village Khalatira, was arrested on the spot.
A case has been registered at Police Station Sidcul under Case Crime No. 576/2025, Section 60(2) of the Excise Act. Police officials stated that the accused will be produced before the Hon’ble Court today.
