How Will Those Who Provide Bail Get Bail Themselves? Fake Sureties Exposed in Court, Case Registered Against Four, Arrests Soon
NEWS / THE POLICE TODAY
HARIDWAR SIDCUL / A major case of fraudulent bail has come to light at the District and Sessions Court located in Roshanabad, Haridwar. Sidcul Police Station has registered a case against four professional sureties and initiated legal action.
The incident dates back to March 23, 2026, when during the hearing of the case State vs. Roshan Lal in the CJM Court, four individuals appeared to stand as sureties for different accused persons. During the proceedings, suspicion arose regarding their activities, prompting the court to order an inquiry.
The investigation revealed that all the sureties were professionals who had repeatedly stood bail in multiple cases. Not only this, they also concealed information about previous sureties in their affidavits submitted before the court, which constitutes a serious legal offense.
Action Taken Against the Accused
In this matter, a case has been registered at Sidcul Police Station against Kamlesh, Ujjwal Singh, Naresh, and others under relevant sections of the law. According to the police, preparations are underway to arrest all the accused and send them to jail soon.
Court Misled
The investigation clearly established that the accused deliberately submitted false affidavits to mislead the court. Taking the matter seriously, the court has adopted a strict stance.
Now They Will Need Sureties Themselves
Those who were arranging bail for others in exchange for money have now themselves fallen into the grip of the law. The police have made it clear that no one who tampers with the law will be spared under any circumstances.
