Haridwar: At last evening DGP Uttarakhand Shri Ashok Kumar reached Haridwar to test the preparations for the Kanwar Mela-2022.

During his visit to the fair area, the DGP along with other senior police officers visited Bairagi Camp, Singh Dwar, Shankaracharya Chowk, Bus Stand, Jwalapur, Neeldhara Parking, Rodi Belwala, Har-ki-Padi and other fair areas. After brainstorming on the present situation with the officers present on the occasion, directed the concerned to further improve the arrangements.

After this, DGP Sir organized a meeting with all the senior officers in the CCR (Fair Control Room) to effectively control the problems faced in the past, challenging situations before the present police and better coordination with other departments, etc. Necessary guidelines were given for the solution.
During the said meeting, ADG (L/O) V. Murugesan, I.G Intelligence AP Anshuman, DIG Range Karan Singh Naganyal, District Magistrate Haridwar Vinay Shankar Pandey, DIG/SSP Haridwar Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat, high officials of Para Military and District and non-district Police officers from the district were present.
