Haridwar:A briefing of Kanwar Mela 2022 was organized at the multipurpose building located at Police Lines. All the forces received from Kumaon and Garhwal ranges and 06 companies of paramilitary forces received from the center also participated in the Kanwar briefing organized under the chairmanship of ADG Crime and Law Shri V Murugesan.
In the Mela area divided into 12 super zones, 32 zones and 120 sectors, the responsibility of the super zone lies with the ASP level officers, the responsibility of the zone CO/Insp. And the responsibility of the sector has been entrusted to the officers of SHO / SO / SSI level. Also 05 teams of BDS/Dog Squad have been appointed in the Mela area. Two teams of Anti Terrorist Squad, appointed for the prevention of terrorist incidents, will also be active in the round the clock mela area.
During his address, ADG L/O Sir took the Kanwar Mela after a gap of two years as a challenge and encouraged it to be completed safely with full dedication. Instructions were also given to the subordinates by the Sir to stop the spread of any kind of rumor and to inform his officers without losing any moment in case of accident.
DIG Range Shri Karan Singh Naganyal instructed the force to keep a watchful eye on all the incidents around and implement the traffic plan in a systematic manner.
DIG/SSP Haridwar Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat advised to keep raincoat and torch along with the stick due to monsoon so that there is no problem in making arrangements during the rains.
Along with this, Sir directed the force to deal strictly with the criminal elements so that there is no possibility of any disturbance of peace during the Kanwar Yatra.
After the briefing, the force was sent to the fair area for duty in two shifts, along with it was also instructed that after reaching their point some time before the duty time, they must know calmly what the duty is.
