Haridwar:On 22-7- 2022 by Mr. Director General of Police, Uttarakhand, Kavad Mela area Bhupatwala, Dudhadhari Chowk, Pantdeep Parking, Chamgadar Island, Rodi Belwala Parking, Chandi Chowk, Sindwar, Jatwara Bridge, Jagjitpur Bairagi Parking, Singh Dwar and other areas of Kanwar Mela Directed to further improve the arrangements by conducting physical inspection with the police officers on duty. Thereafter, after the said visit, suggestions and discussions were held with the officers of police and administration in CCR Bhawan (Mela Control Room) and suggestions were made to conduct the Kanwar Mela in a better way in the coming days. In order to make adequate arrangements in those areas where some shortcomings were seen.
While coordinating with the administrative officers, it was directed to brief the concerned zonal/super zonal officers for its immediate completion. Have to discharge because slowly Shiva devotees have reached Haridwar, who will now take water and leave their destination tomorrow day after day by foot and by their vehicles, so that the route which has been fixed for us on foot or vehicles.
By appointing sufficient police force at those places, the traffic and pedestrian system is to be streamlined, so that even if there is no chaos or stampede-like situation, all the officers should be on duty from time to time while on tour in their respective areas. But while briefing the appointed employees, they have to be encouraged, in the next 4 days, all the people should discharge their responsibilities by shouldering the entire police force. In any way, small incidents should not be given a big form Vehicles may not have to be parked in any way on flyovers and national highways and other routes, which can affect the traffic route system.
In the meeting, it was informed by the Director General of Police that the management of all the people has been commendable so far and so far the fair has been successful. Due to which small vehicles are coming and going till Delhi, which is a big deal in itself. The next 2 to 3 days are very important.
