Haridwar: Ranipur Police, SOG and Anti Drug Task Force have arrested a liquor smuggler, who along with liquor smuggling was now active in the business of smack smuggling. The police have arrested a total of 4 people with smack of lakhs along with the smuggler Raja. Raja is the liquor smuggler who till now was known for selling spurious liquor in bottles of branded liquor. Now it had started the black business of smack along with the liquor business.
Niharika Semwal, CO Sadar said while holding a press conference that SOG Haridwar was getting information for the last few days that Raja, a big liquor smuggler living in Salempur area of Kotwali Ranipur, has now indulged in smack smuggling. This gang is supplying drugs in different areas by forming a gang.
After getting information from the informer, SOG district in-charge Narendra Singh Bisht, Haridwar in-charge Ranjit Tomar along with Kotwali Ranipur in-charge Amar Chand Sharma, gas plant outpost in-charge Ashok Shirshwal and Anti-Drugs Task Force along with anti-drugs task force made a special effort to nab these vicious drug dealers. The team was formed. This team was keeping an eye on all the activities of this smuggler Raja for the last few days.
Based on this information, the special team raided the Ranipur area and recovered 110 grams from Irfan alias Raja, resident of Salempur Ranipur, 50 grams from Musharraf resident Pathri, 20 grams from Sachin and 20 grams from Ashwani resident Sidkul. The value of the recovered smack is said to be Rs 4 lakh in the international market.
