Haridwar:  Different teams are trying to arrest the remaining accused.Along with this, a case has been registered against 151 anarchic elements identified by various police stations of the district under the Goonda Act. Soon after the legal process, it will be transferred from the district. Apart from this, legal action is going on after identifying 40 gang members of 16 gangs.

A total of 107 organized criminals have been prosecuted under the Gangster Act and 151 under the Goonda Act.
Joint action taken on robbery, theft, cow slaughter, fraud, drug smugglers in Haridwar district. Action taken in various police stations against habitual criminals and goons involved in crime for years.

“Strict Action Against Organized Crime”

In the sequence of which, 14 cases have been registered under the Gangster Act against 65 professional criminals/miscreants who are doing organized crime , taking action against the accused by various police stations of the district.
In cases of cow slaughter, including 30 gang leaders, 03 in embezzlement, 16 in murder, 05 in NDPS, 03 in vehicle theft and 08 in other illegal activities, 11 accused have been arrested so far while taking action against the accused under the Gangster Act. Apart from this, judicial remand is being taken as per the law of dozens of accused against whom cases are registered in gangster and who are currently detained in jail.
