Uttarakhand/ Haridwar:Subhas Chandra Bose (also called Netaji) is known for his role in India’s independence movement. A participant of the noncooperation movement and a leader of the Indian National Congress, he was part of the more militant wing and known for his advocacy of socialist policies.
He was a warrior, who had to wage the freedom struggle. Not only did he embrace the freedom movement wholeheartedly, but became an inspiration for freedom. With the slogan “Give me blood and I will give you freedom”, he started preparing to awaken the country. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose The Real Hero of India . Bose’s father proposed to send him to England to study for the Indian Civil Service (ICS). Despite Bose’s misgivings about accepting a job under the British Government, he set sail for England in September 1919. Upon arriving in Britain, Bose went up to Cambridge to gain admission.
During the period of 1921-1941, he was imprisoned eleven times in various jails due to his stand for complete independence. Adolf Hitler was the person that surname ‘Netaji’ to Subhash Chandra Bose. Netaji was highly popular for his slogan ‘Tum Mujhe Khoon do, Main tumhe Azadi doonga’ and ‘Jai Hind’ that was adopted by the Government of India and even the Indian Armed Forces.
“The activities of Azad Hind Fauj and Netaji brought independence to this country and it was admitted by the then PM of England Clement Richard Attlee,” claimed Ardhendu Bose. “It was not Gandhi’s peace movement that brought independence to India,” Ardhendu Bose said.
Bose authored the book ‘The Indian Struggle’ which covers the Indian independence movement from 1920 to 1942. The book was banned by the British government. He coined the term ‘Jai Hind’. His charisma and powerful personality inspired many people into the freedom struggle and continues to inspire Indians.
The Modi government in 2021 announced to observe January 23 as ‘Parakram Diwas’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bose. About 75 years ago, Netaji passed away. However, his death still remains shrouded in mystery. It is widely believed that Bose died in an air crash on August 18, 1945 in Taiwan
