Haridwar/Khanpur-Under the direction of SSP Haridwar, Khanpur police station arrested the accused Baldev Singh, son of Baddh Singh, resident of village Awadhipur, police station Khanpur district, Haridwar, who was involved in making illegal liquor and smuggling it within the police station area.
He has been crossed from the border of Haridwar district.
Many cases against the accused, including illegal liquor manufacturing and liquor smuggling, are pending in court.
The accused was also banned under section 110G for his reformation. Even after being banned, the accused continued to be active in making, selling and smuggling liquor.
Let us tell you that Khanpur police station took action against the accused under the ‘Goonda’ Act and took information and permission from the Senior Superintendent of Police to District Magistrate Haridwar to transfer the accused to the district, after which orders were passed to transfer the accused.
