Haridwar/Roorkee: Gang Canal  Today, at around 4-5 am today, on the information of cow slaughter in Ganganahar area, Uttarakhand Cow Vansh Squad team immediately reached the spot in Sohalpur Gada fields.
Immediately the team arrived and recovered a live cow and equipment for beef and cow slaughter from the spot, the accused Mohammad Zulfan, son of Nisar, resident of village Sohalpur Gada, Roorkee Kotwali, Ganga Canal, district Haridwar, age 40 years. They surrounded them, who took advantage of the darkness, attacked the policemen with a knife and fired shots and escaped.
The Gauvansh team immediately informed the local police, on which all the police teams combed more than 200 meters from the former place in Sohalpur Gada area of ​​Kotwali Ganganahar and surrounded the miscreants in the sugarcane fields.
To avoid arrest, the miscreants opened fire on the police team, in response to which one of the accused, Mohammad Zulfan, was injured by a bullet in his right leg.
He was sent to Government Hospital Roorkee where police officers also arrived to know the condition of the accused. One pistol of 315 bore with two live cartridges and one shell was recovered from the possession of the accused. On the said incident, a case was registered against the accused under relevant sections at Kotwali Ganga Canal.
The Govansh Police team recovered two and a half quintals of cow meat, a live cow and equipment for cow slaughter from the spot and registered a case under the Arms Act at Kotwali Ganganahar. A total of two cases were registered.
Serious search is going on for the other two accused who absconded taking advantage of the darkness from the spot.
