72 policemen of Uttarakhand successful in Cyber Commando exam, third place in the country

UTTRAKHAND / The Union Home Ministry has declared the results of the Cyber Commando exam. 3,200 candidates from all over the country had appeared in this exam. 72 police personnel of Uttarakhand have succeeded in getting the state third place in the country by passing this exam.
Apart from this, three policemen have also secured second, sixth and tenth position in the All India Ranking.
Senior Superintendent of Police of Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) Navneet Singh said that in view of enhancing cyber security capabilities and increasing cyber threats, work is being done towards setting up a special branch of Cyber Commandos by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center of the Ministry of Home Affairs. For this purpose, Cyber Commando examination was conducted across the country on 11 January 2025. 242 police personnel from Uttarakhand had appeared in this examination, out of which 72 have been selected.
He informed that the selected personnel will be sent for intensive practical training in the country’s prestigious IIT institutes, National Forensic Science University (NFSU) etc. Uttarakhand state stood third in the examination of cyber commandos from different states, while Telangana stood first and Kerala stood second.
Constable Harendra Bhandari from Uttarakhand has secured second position in the All India Rank, Constable Kader Khan has secured sixth position and Additional Sub Inspector Chandramohan has secured tenth position.
