The Navodaya Nagar Roshnabad Incident: Lover Slits Girlfriend’s Throat Over Suspicion of Affair – Brutal Murder Driven by Distrust in Relationship

Haridwar Sidcul police station received information that a young man had attacked a girl with a knife near Navodaya Chowk in Roshanabad, injuring her badly before fleeing the scene.

Upon receiving the alert, Sidcul police immediately reached the spot and rushed the blood-soaked girl to the hospital via ambulance, where doctors declared her dead. The police then initiated legal procedures regarding the victim’s death.

Preliminary investigation revealed the deceased was Hansika Yadav, who was fatally attacked by her boyfriend during an argument. Based on a formal complaint filed by Hansika’s brother, Varun Yadav, the Sidcul police registered a case of murder against the accused and launched a manhunt.

After questioning local residents near the crime scene, the police gathered clues, tracked possible locations, and eventually arrested the accused boyfriend,

Who is the murderer, Pradeep?
Pradeep is a native of Hussainganj, Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh. He worked at “Ends Light” company in the Sidcul area of Haridwar. In 2021, his childhood girlfriend, who lived in the same neighborhood and had lost both her parents, came to live with him in Haridwar. Pradeep helped her get a job in a local company in Sidcul. Around a year ago, the deceased’s brother, Varun Yadav (the complainant), also moved in with them.

When and why did the relationship fall apart?
After nearly four years of living together, the couple began to drift apart about a month ago. Due to frequent arguments and misunderstandings, Hansika moved out and started living with a female friend in Roshanabad. Meanwhile, Pradeep started living with Hansika’s brother, Varun, in Hetampur village.

What led to the murder?
According to preliminary police investigation and insider sources, Pradeep became angry upon learning about Hansika’s growing closeness and possible relationship with another man. On Monday, he called her to meet in Navodaya Nagar Colony. Before going, he purchased a knife from a shop in Roshanabad. During their meeting, when Hansika refused to return to him, an enraged Pradeep took out the knife and slit her throat before fleeing the spot.
