Haridwar Police’s Swift Action Under SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal — Main Accused in Minor Gangrape Case Arrested Within 15 Hours

Haridwar: Under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramendra Singh Dobal, Haridwar Police acted decisively in a sensitive case of gangrape involving a minor, arresting the main accused within 15 hours of the incident.

The matter came to light when a resident of Dhanpura Pathri lodged a complaint stating that Arbind, a youth from the same village, along with two other accomplices, allegedly abducted his minor daughter. The accused reportedly took her to an abandoned house near the Anchor Factory, where they committed gangrape. Fearing arrest, they allegedly threw her from the rooftop with the intent to kill.

Based on the complaint, Pathri Police Station registered a case under relevant sections. Given the involvement of members from two different communities and the minor victim, the case was deemed highly sensitive. SSP Dobal took personal cognizance and directed prompt action, instructing the Superintendent of Police (Rural) to oversee multiple police teams formed for the operation.

Through meticulous evidence examination and manual policing efforts, the teams tracked and arrested the main accused, Arbind, from Pathri Railway Station within 15 hours. He is being produced before the court. Search operations are underway to nab the remaining two accused.
