Haridwar Police Tighten Grip on Drug Traffickers; Shyampur Police Nab Youth with Smack

Haridwar: Under the “Drug-Free Devbhoomi Campaign 2025,” the proactive efforts of Haridwar Police are yielding significant results. As part of an ongoing drive to free the district from the menace of drugs, the Shyampur Police achieved a major breakthrough during routine checking and surveillance operations.
During regular patrolling in the Chandi Ghat outpost area, at the temporary bus stand on the Gauri Shankar parking route, the police team apprehended a youth in possession of illegal smack. The accused has been identified as Ravi (20), son of Yashpal, resident of Peer Majra Khatri Wala, Kotwali Kutubsher, Saharanpur district.
In addition, police are forming a special team to arrest another wanted accused, Aakash, son of Prem Chand, resident of Ravidas Mandir Wali Gali, Jagjeetpur, Haridwar. Authorities stated that action has been intensified against individuals involved in the illegal sale of smack, charas, ganja, and illicit liquor across the district.
The Shyampur Police have pledged to continue this drive with full force to completely curb drug trafficking activities.
