Inspector Bipin Chandra Pathak of GRP Honoured with Chief Minister’s Commendation Medal on Independence Day

Dehradun, August 15 — On the occasion of India’s Independence Day, Inspector Bipin Chandra Pathak, a 2002-batch officer serving in the Government Railway Police (GRP), was honoured with the Chief Minister’s Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service at a grand ceremony held at Parade Ground, Dehradun. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
SP GRP Tripti Bhatt congratulated Inspector Pathak on this prestigious achievement and extended her best wishes for his future endeavours.
Inspector Pathak has received multiple honours in his career, including the Commendable Service Insignia in 2014 and 2022, the Excellent Service Insignia in 2016, and the Chief Minister’s Excellence and Good Governance Award in 2018 for his outstanding contributions to the police department.
Following the 2013 Kedarnath disaster, Inspector Pathak served as in-charge in Kedarnath for six consecutive years, ensuring smooth arrangements for pilgrims under extremely challenging conditions and contributing to environmental balance in the region. His dedicated service earned him personal praise and a handshake from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018, as well as an invitation to dine at the Mumbai residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.
