Swift action by Haridwar Police averted a major tragedy late at night, saving the lives of a woman and her two young daughters. The prompt response and vigilance of the police proved to be a shield for three innocent lives and prevented a family from falling apart.

Around 12:30 AM, Kotwali Nagar Police received information from the Control Room that a woman, following a dispute with her husband in Dehradun, had reached Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar with her two daughters. She reportedly threatened her husband over the phone, stating she would end her life.

Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, Kotwali Nagar Police immediately formed six teams — four ground teams and two control teams. The ground teams began searching key locations while the control teams closely monitored CCTV footage to trace the woman and children.

After continuous efforts, the police located the woman and her daughters near Upper Road heading towards the ghat. Acting swiftly, officers reached the spot in time and safely rescued all three.

Subsequently, the woman’s husband was called to Har Ki Pauri Police Outpost, where proper counseling was conducted for both husband and wife. Following the session, the woman and her daughters were safely handed over to her husband.

Thanks to the timely intervention and effective action of Haridwar Police, a family was saved from a potential tragedy. Expressing gratitude, the husband thanked Uttarakhand Police for their quick and sensitive response.
