GRP on High Alert Ahead of Upcoming Festivals; Intensive Checking Drive Conducted at Railway Stations

GRP HARIDWAR / In compliance with the directions of the Superintendent of Police, GRP, an intensive checking campaign was conducted across all railway stations under the GRP jurisdiction in view of the upcoming Diwali festival.
During the operation, GRP personnel carried out thorough inspections at platforms, ticket counters, parking areas, and both male and female waiting rooms. Passengers were advised to remain vigilant against thieves, poisoners, and chain or mobile snatchers, and were urged to keep a close watch on their belongings and children during travel.
Travelers were also instructed not to carry inflammable substances in trains and to immediately report any unattended luggage or suspicious person found at stations or inside trains to GRP, RPF, or Railway Helpline No. 139.
Additionally, awareness about cybercrime prevention was raised, and passengers were informed about the Cyber Helpline No. 1930 for reporting such incidents.
