SIDCUL Police Arrests Two Mobile Snatchers Within 24 Hours, Used Racer Bike for the Crime

SIDCUL Haridwar: In a swift and effective action, the SIDCUL Police arrested two accused involved in a mobile snatching case within 24 hours of the incident. The duo, who used a high-speed racer bike for committing the crime, were apprehended with the stolen mobile phone in their possession.
The case came to light when Shivam Kumar, son of Sher Singh, resident of Bawanpura, District Bijnor, presently residing at Meenakshipuram, SIDCUL, Haridwar, lodged a written complaint at the SIDCUL Police Station. He reported that near Meenakshipuram Gate, three unidentified persons riding a motorcycle snatched his Vivo mobile phone and fled from the spot.
Based on his complaint, a case was registered at the local police station, and investigation was assigned to Sub-Inspector Anil Bisht. During routine patrolling, the investigating officer along with his team noticed two persons—Dharmendra, son of Rajkumar, resident of Village Jarauda Panda, PS Baragaon, District Saharanpur (presently residing near Denso Chowk, Rawali Mahdood), and Sagar, son of Vijaypal, resident of Village Shivpuri, PS Afzalgarh, District Bijnor (presently residing near Denso Chowk, Rawali Mahdood, SIDCUL)—coming from the direction of Dawa Chowk on a motorcycle.
Upon noticing the police, the duo tried to turn back, raising suspicion. The police team immediately intercepted and detained them. On conducting a search, one Vivo mobile phone was recovered from their possession. When questioned, the accused confessed that they had snatched the phone near Meenakshipuram Gate, SIDCUL.
The IMEI number of the recovered phone was checked and found to match the stolen device reported in the FIR. Both accused were arrested on the spot and will be presented before the Hon’ble Court today.
