GRP on High Alert Ahead of Diwali Festival Intensive Checking at Railway Stations and Trains to Ensure Passenger Safety

GRP HARIDWAR / Superintendent of Police, Government Railway Police (SP GRP), a high alert has been issued across all railway stations under the GRP jurisdiction in view of the upcoming Diwali festival.
GRP teams are conducting continuous checking at railway platforms, ticket counters, parking areas, and male/female waiting rooms to ensure the safety and security of passengers.
During the drive, passengers were advised to remain alert against pickpockets, chain snatchers, mobile snatchers, and poisoners. They were also urged to safeguard their belongings and children during travel and to refrain from carrying any flammable materials inside trains.
The GRP also appealed to the public to immediately inform GRP, RPF, or the Railway Helpline 139 in case of spotting any suspicious person or unattended luggage at stations or inside trains. Additionally, passengers were made aware of cybercrime and informed about the Cyber Helpline Number 1930 for prompt assistance.
